
RBI’s Joshi calls for ‘revamped’ bank structures

Banks need to think beyond the "traditional delivery channels" when providing financial services to poor people, according to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) executive director Deepali Pant Joshi, and may need to 'revamp' their internal process to accomplish this.
Joshi told an audience in New Delhi that banks have to develop new organisational structures that can "enhance" their financial inclusion efforts. For example, she said, banks need to hire a "separate cadre of staff" to deliver banking
