Mersch says ABS could help eurozone back to health

European Central Bank (ECB) executive board member Yves Mersch has called on European Union member states to do more to facilitate lending to small and medium-sized enterprises, suggesting national development banks could coordinate more closely with each other and the European Investment Bank (EIB) to "develop a set of tools for appropriate financial instruments".
