Bank of Mexico deputy welcomes QE taper
Tapering of the Federal Reserve's asset purchases is a welcome development as lax global monetary conditions cannot be infinitely sustained and it may prompt a "required" adjustment in certain economies, according to Bank of Mexico deputy Manuel Sánchez.
In a speech yesterday, Sánchez listed "costs and risks associated with the unusually lax monetary policies of advanced countries", among them extraordinarily benign financial conditions that "may have created an environment of over-leveraging
