
Mersch lists monetary policy dos and don'ts

European Central Bank (ECB) executive board member Yves Mersch made a speech at the weekend listing his "to do" and "not to do" list for monetary policy in times of crisis, saying central banks should "take responsibility and credit for averting Armageddon", but should "not overstate what monetary policy can and cannot do".
