Lagarde welcomes G-20 commitment to avoid currency wars

Managing director of the IMF Christine Lagarde said on Saturday the G-20 remains focused on implementing a financial reform agenda to build a "more resilient financial system".

Speaking following a meeting of the G-20's central bank governors and finance ministers, Lagarde said weak global growth "derives from policy uncertainty, private deleveraging, continued fiscal drag" and "insufficient progress on rebalancing global demand".
