
Thai governor wary of prolonged easing

Prasarn Trairatvorakul, the Bank of Thailand governor, today (January 22) outlined the central bank's policy direction for 2013.
Trairatvorakul told an audience at the Bank of Thailand headquarters that the central bank would remain "vigilant" of risks. He warned of the risks prolonged accommodative monetary policy could pose to financial stability, including excessive debt accumulation and over-investment in risky assets.
