Danish governor laments lack of euro progress

Danmarks Nationalbank governor, Nils Bernstein, believes political solutions to the euro area crisis will be found, as the judgement of future generations should the European project collapse would be "too harsh to bear".

At a meeting of the Danish Bankers Association on December 5, Bernstein said Europe "will muddle through somehow", but if the political process does not achieve the necessary economic adjustments, the "relentless market demands" will.

The governor counted the costs member
