Albanian governor discusses monetary policy decision

Ardian Fullani, the governor of the Bank of Albania, delivered a speech on May 29 explaining the central bank's assessment of the economic outlook and consequent monetary policy decision.

Speaking after the meeting of the central bank's supervisory council, Fullani said the 1.6% inflation rate in April had been slightly outside the central bank's 2–4% target band, but that the council anticipated a return to the target in the medium term.

Overall economic activity was "sluggish", Fullani said
