BoJ’s Shirai debates how to strengthen growth momentum


Sayuri Shirai, a member of the policy board at the Bank of Japan, spoke on May 10 about how the economy's growth momentum could be bettered by making the most of opportunities in emerging Asia.

Speaking at a gathering of business leaders in the Akita province of Japan, Shirai summarised recent economic and price developments in Japan before moving on to discuss recent economic and financial developments in emerging economies, particularly in Asia.
