Bangladesh bank governor discusses macro-prudential reforms


Atiur Rahman, governor of the Bangladesh Bank, spoke on May 16 at a roundtable event on macro-prudential and monetary policies in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) region.

Leading the discussion at the event in Pokhara, Nepal, Rahman said macro-prudential reforms in the Saarc region were proceeding along lines of global developments "in a phased manner best suited to the stage of financial market development in each country".
