Constâncio calls for 'co-operation' on data sharing by Eurosystem institutions
European Central Bank (ECB) vice-president Vítor Constâncio said in a speech on April 17 that greater institutional co-operation is needed between supervisory and macro-prudential bodies to improve the statistical information available to eurozone institutions.
Constâncio was addressing the ECB Statistics Conference in Frankfurt. He began by saying that the financial crisis illustrated the "deficiencies in the information base on which macro-prudential oversight was being conducted".
