BoJ’s Nishimura says strengthening growth 'crucial' for Japanese economy
Bank of Japan deputy governor Kiyohiko Nishimura today said that efforts to strengthen growth are "crucial" to the prospects of the Japanese economy.
Addressing a group of business leaders in Okayama province, he said the central bank must make efforts "within their respective role" to help achieve further growth potential.
Cautious about the prospects for the Japanese economy, Nishimura said that "there remains considerable uncertainty, mainly regarding the outlook for the global economy".
