BoE’s Haldane wants to see common financial language

Andrew Haldane, executive director for financial stability at the Bank of England, today called for consistent language to be used in the financial industry.

In a speech drawn from a paper presented at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association's Legal Entity Identifier Symposium in New York, Haldane considered the benefits of finance adopting a common language that he believes "...could transform both itself and its contribution to wider society".
