BoE’s Fisher warns of potential policy conflict

Paul Fisher, executive director of markets and member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) and the Financial Policy Committee (FPC) at the Bank of England today spoke about potential policy aim conflicts between the two committees.

Fisher said a "particular challenge" for macro-prudential policy "is the potential for conflict between the decisions of the MPC setting policy to meet its inflation target, and the FPC meeting its financial stability objectives".
