Cœuré gives ECB perspective on priorities for the reform of financial regulation

Benoît Cœuré, the newest member of the executive board of the European Central Bank, on March 6 delivered a speech titled The reform of financial regulation: priorities from an ECB perspective.

Speaking in Paris to the Association for Financial Markets in Europe, Cœuré said the timely and consistent implementation of the new Basel III framework, both at international and European Union (EU) level; the ongoing work to address the 'too big to fail' problem, particularly within the specific EU
