'Little headway' made towards deepening integration in Europe, says Buba’s Dombret

Andreas Dombret, a member of the executive board of the Bundesbank, on February 6 said eurozone member states that are in breach of a predefined deficit and debt limit should lose its fiscal policy sovereignty under a new fiscal compact.

Speaking at the International Bankers' Club in Luxembourg, Dombret said that while national parliaments could retain their independence in deciding on revenue and spending, European involvement would only take place if borrowing and indebtedness limits are
