Liikanen warns of growing downside risks to economy

Erkki Liikanen, the governor of the Bank of Finland, on Thursday said the outlook for the Finnish economy had deteriorated further as sovereign debt problems and the continued uncertainty in Europe weakened both foreign and domestic demand.

At the press conference for the release of the latest issue of the journal Euro & Talous in Helsinki, Finland, Liikanen said: "Developments in recent months have made it clearer than before that economic growth will at best be sluggish in the immediate years
