RBI’s Subbarao calls on government to address rising food prices


Duvvuri Subbarao, the governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on Tuesday said that while monetary policy can temporarily ease expectations of rising food inflation, ultimately supply-side measures were necessary to stem the sharp rise in prices.
