Global risks impacting outlook for Thailand: governor

Prasarn Trairatvorakul, the governor of the Bank of Thailand, on Thursday opened the Fitch Ratings Thailand's 10th Anniversary Annual Conference in Bangkok.

He spoke of his optimism for the Thai economy, saying he expected to see "reasonable" growth figures for 2011. Consumer spending and investment in the private sector should both increase, he predicted.
