BIS’s Caruana urges completion of regulatory reform agenda

Jaime Caruana, the general manager of the Bank for International Settlements, on Thursday said national authorities continued to face a series of challenges in bringing about change to their regulatory frameworks.

At the annual Pierre Werner Lecture in Luxembourg, Caruana said that although recent progress on the implementation of regulatory reforms had been "impressive", building a more robust financial system in a globally consistent way with adequate oversight structures and procedures posed
