Malaysia’s Kadir on enhancing sharia governance


Mohd Razif bin Abd Kadir, a deputy governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, on Tuesday said steps to enhance the governance of Islamic finance in Malaysia would provide a framework for greater sharia compliance.

At the second Foundations of Islamic Finance Series Conference, at Kuala Lumpur, Kadir said: "It is envisaged that with a more robust and sound sharia governance framework, with end-to-end sharia-compliant control mechanisms within Islamic financial institutions would promote greater sharia
