BOJ's Kamezaki: Japanese deflation imminent threat

Hidetoshi Kamezaki, a member of the policy board of the Bank of Japan, said persistent deflation posed a continued threat to Japan's producers and consumers.

In a speech to business leaders in Kochi, Japan on 25 March, Kamezaki said the main reason for Japan's current deflationary situation is the widening of the negative output gap.
