Kohn on research at the Federal Reserve

In a speech on 'Research at the Federal Reserve Board: The Contributions of Henderson, Porter, and Tinsley' given on 26 March, Donald Kohn of the Federal Reserve said the Fed's armada of economic researchers play an important role in helping policymakers in their decisions and keeping them aware of new theories.

"From a policymaker's perspective, researchers have improved the decision-making process by keeping in view the overall economy, with all its interactions," Kohn said in remarks at a Fed
