Fed's Bernanke sees improved market conditions

Conditions in a number of financial markets have improved in recent weeks, said Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Bernanke said that among the markets that have recently begun to function a bit better were the markets for short-term funding, including the interbank and commercial-paper markets.
