Tetangco on bank security in the Philippines

Bank security management goes beyond guard deployment and monitoring, said Amando Tetangco, the governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines.

Tetangco said that the objective of a circular published by the central bank last autumn was to strengthen and broaden the security of banks and to cover not only physical security but also external and internal frauds and cash in transit operations as well as the conduct of investigation of such cases.
