Hoenig on community banks and the Fed

In the speech 'Community Banks and the Federal Reserve' Thomas Hoenig of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City said community banks play an important role in the financial system of the U.S. economy and in the Federal Reserve's mission. For these reasons, the Federal Reserve has a strong interest in understanding issues facing community banks and ensuring their continued participation in the nation's financial and payments systems.
