Parry on prospects for the economy

In aspeech on 'Prospects for the National and Local Economies: A Monetary Policymaker's View' Robert Parry of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco said a bright spot in the national economy is consumer spending and the most likely outcome, in his view, is a slow first half of this year with a modest pickup in the second half.
