Fed's Ferguson on the New Basel Accord

In a speech on ,'Concerns and Considerations for the Practical Implementation of the New Basel Accord' given on 2 December Roger Ferguson of the Federal Reserve said he believed international bank regulators could nail down the final details of the Basel Capital Accord "in a timely manner". "I remain optimistic that a new accord will emerge from the Basel Committee in a timely fashion, so that national review procedures can go forward," Ferguson told the ICBI Risk Management 2003 Conference in
