Riksbank's Ingves justifies openness
Stefan Ingves, the governor of the Riksbank, said on Monday that the central bank chose to adopt a transparent monetary policy framework in order to become a more democratic and efficient institution.
Speaking in Stockholm, Ingves said an independent central bank must be democratic: "The Swedish people have given the Riksbank considerable independence. But this is a freedom with responsibility that goes hand in hand with the requirements for insight and accountability. This is how things should
