Chicago Fed's Moskow on promoting economic growth

In a speech given on 9 June Michael Moskow of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago said the United States can encourage economic growth by ensuring fair access to credit for small businesses owned by women and minorities.

"Businesses owned by women and minorities comprise the fastest growing segment of small businesses," Moskow said in remarks to a corporate leadership conference.

However, many of those businesses remain relatively small, undercapitalized and underrepresented in the more capital
