Nakahara on Japan's economy and monetary policy

In the speech 'Japan's Economy and Monetary Policy' released on 10 December Shin Nakahara of the Bank of Japan said currently, with the recovery trend looking steadily more certain, corporate executives seem to be more optimistic. For the Japanese economy as a whole, beset by a number of structural problems, this is a heaven-sent opportunity. Measures for addressing medium- and long-term issues should be clarified, and a self-sustaining and long-term recovery trend should be attained.
