BoJ survey reveals growing pessimism over economy
Share of respondents who expect conditions to worsen over coming year rises to over one-third
Over one-third of the respondents to a Bank of Japan survey expect economic conditions to "worsen" over the coming year, an increase from previous quarters.
Of the 4,000 people surveyed, only 2,146 people gave valid responses, the BoJ noted. The majority felt conditions were the same in March 2016 as they were a year before, and expect the same to be true in a year's time.
