Riksbank report calls for creation of kronor bond portfolio
Sveriges Riksbank published its latest economic commentary on April 27, which calls for the Swedish central bank to create a portfolio of bond assets in kronor.
Authors Heidi Elmér, Peter Sellin and Per Åsberg Sommar examine the monetary policy frameworks deployed by the Riksbank to achieve price and financial stability, and state that an expanded 'toolkit' of policy instruments is needed to help the central bank achieve its monetary policy remit.
