Research commends Norges Bank’s stress tests

An independent assessment has praised the stress test models used by the Norges Bank.

The research notes: "Norges Bank's overall approach to stress testing is highly innovative, economically sound, largely transparent to policymakers and the public and generally should be considered at the top end of best practice at central banks and bank supervisory agencies in developed nations."

The group was chaired by Myron Kwast, a former senior officer at the Federal Reserve Board and a former chairman
