IMF’s Shinohara warns EME dominance may lead to imbalance in growth
Naoyuki Shinohara, a deputy managing director at the IMF, said the global outlook is shaping up better than forecast with world growth likely to be close to 4% this year-an upward revision of almost one percentage point from the October 2009 World Economic Outlook.
However, in comments made on 8 April, he warned that the multi-speed recovery may lead to a highly uneven distribution of growth across the globe: "In most advanced economies the upturn is still weak and remains dependent on policy
