Paul Fisher, the executive director for markets at the Bank of England, has co-authored an article on how monetary policy implementation and liquidity provision during the financial crisis have affected the size and composition of the Bank's balance sheet.

The article, co-authored with Michael Cross and Olaf Weeken, describes the main components of the Bank's balance sheet prior to and during the crisis.

The article forms part of the Bank's Quarterly Bulletin.
