Bank of England Inflation Attitudes Survey, Aug 03

The Bank of England's August 2003 quarterly Inflation Attitudes Survey was published on 15 September. Median expectations of inflation over the coming year were 2.2%, up from 2.0% in May. Respondents were asked to assess the way the Bank of England is "doing its job to set interest rates to control inflation". The 'net satisfaction index' was 44% in August, slightly down on the 46% in May.
