Swedish financial system remains stable - Riksbank

Sweden's financial system remains stable thanks to good profitability in the banking sector and a strong economy, the Riksbank said on Thursday.

"In the short term, only extreme events, such as extensive losses related to operational risks or a serious international economic disturbance, ought to comprise a threat to financial stability," it said in its twice-yearly stability report.
