Bank of Canada seeks candidates for No. 2 post

ARTICLE - Canada's central bank is searching far and wide to replace its outgoing No.2 official, with advertisements in national newspapers and an international magazine for what observers say is a very short list of contenders.

Of seven candidates named by sources in Canada's business and political circles, only two sit on the Bank of Canada's governing council and both are considered long shots in the race to replace Senior Deputy Governor Malcolm Knight.
