ECB recieves a letter bomb
An Italian group with anarchist links is suspected of sending the letter bomb to European Central Bank chief Jean-Claude Trichet, the federal prosecutors' office said on Tuesday 30th December.
Prosecutors said they were treating the case as attempted murder.
"Based on information provided by the criminal division, we know the letter was capable (of exploding)," Hartmut Schneider, spokesman for the German federal prosecutors' office told Reuters.
