ECB monthly bulletin explains forward guidance
The European Central Bank (ECB) today released its latest monthly bulletin, featuring a special editorial section addressing the question of forward guidance as introduced at the latest meeting of the Governing Council.
The editorial reiterates that the ECB's key interest rates "can be reduced further if warranted by the evolving outlook for price stability", and it was important that forward guidance be introduced "before exhausting the scope for further reductions" in interest rates.
