Central Bank of Chile minutes reveal rate consensus

The minutes of the board of the Central Bank of Chile's monetary policy meeting on August 16, released on September 3, shows the decision to keep the monetary policy interest rate (MPR) at 5% was unanimous.

One member suggested the rate should stay around this level for some time, noting that the market had consolidated the idea of keeping the rate at a level of around 5% for "some time".
