Bank of Canada report forecasts modest rebound in 2012

The Bank of Canada's Monetary Policy Report published on January 17 said that despite the relatively subdued outlook for global economic growth, Canada's economy is projected to grow by 2% in 2012 and 2.8% in 2013.

The report said that while the economy appeared to be operating with less slack than previously assumed, given the more modest growth profile, it anticipated a return to full capacity by the third quarter of 2013, one quarter earlier than was expected in October. The central bank said
