Sovereign debt strains felt in New Zealand: RBNZ report


Risks to the New Zealand economy and financial system have increased materially in the past six months, amid concerns over the prospect of default by Greece and further contagion to other highly indebted sovereigns, according to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's Financial Stability report, published on Friday.

The report says the outlook for the global economy has deteriorated significantly, with weaker than expected growth and elevated financial market volatility in response to the sovereign
