Bank of Italy – Economic Bulletin (July 2011)
The Bank of Italy's Economic Bulletin, published on Friday, said sovereign debt tensions in the euro area had spread to Italy.
The report said the prospects for growth and the performance of financial markets in Italy had been "weighed down" by the sovereign debt crisis in the euro area, with tensions having increased and spread to Italy. It said the widening spread between 10-year government bond yields and those of the corresponding German bonds reflected the higher costs of financing, making
