Norges Bank - Monetary Policy Report (March 2011)

The Norges Bank's first Monetary Policy Report for 2011, published on Wednesday, suggests its benchmark interest rates could be raised earlier than previously forecast as inflation in Norway picks up.

"Projections and analyses suggest on balance that the key policy rate should gradually be raised and that developments since last autumn pull in the direction of increasing the key policy rate somewhat earlier than projected in October," the central bank's executive board said in the report.
