National Bank of Cambodia - Annual Report 2009

The National Bank of Cambodia Annual Report 2009, published mid-July, said the global financial crisis caused a deep contraction affecting three of Cambodia's four main industries but that the country would return to growth in 2010.

The central bank said the recession, which lead to a 2.7% GDP contraction in 2009, reversed much of the progress Cambodia had made in maintaining stable and robust economic growth, reducing its fiscal and external current account deficit, and lowering unemployment
