Norges Bank – Annual Report on Payments Systems (2009)
Savings can be achieved by increasing the number of electronic invoices used, the 2009 Norges Bank Annual Report on Payments Systems published on 2 July says.
In an announcement marking the publication of the annual report, Svein Gjedrem, the governor of the Norges Bank, said: "The prices charged for payment services should reflect the cost of producing the services, to a greater extent than is the case at present. This would secure a more cost-effective use of resources."
