Estonia ready for euro in 2011

Estonia is likely to meet the Maastricht criteria at the end of this year, and will thus be able to adopt the euro in 2011, notes the latest Report on the Adoption of the Euro from the country's central bank.

The report notes that previous assessments have shown that Estonia meets all the necessary requirements except the one of price stability. The report says that external price pressures that boosted inflation in the previous years have eased as did domestic inflation pressures.
