Riksbank striving to inform public on crunch

The Riksbank is providing and updating a list of questions and answers on the financial turmoil.

The latest entry, posted on 30 September, explains why the institution's cash-swap facility with the Fed has been extended.

The document also states that Swedish banks are financially robust and that they are still earning money and making profits. Swedish banks are also less affected by the drying up of global bond markets than their foreign counterparts.
